Melanie Banks-Smith, PA-C
Advanced Practice Provider
Melanie Banks-Smith attended Rutgers University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She continued her education at Drexel University where she attained a post-graduate degree in physician assistant studies. Subsequently, she was certified as physician assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Melanie began her PA career in interventional radiology (IR) in Philadelphia before relocating to Atlanta to continue her practice in IR in the Marietta area. She acquired a vast array of procedural skills during her nine years in IR, performing procedures for neuro and vascular interventional as well as ultrasound. Melanie considers herself a well-rounded PA working in critical care and pulmonary medicine in additional to her time in IR. She is excited to return to radiology, her first home as a PA, and looks forward to providing exemplary care to the patients at Emory University Hospital while continuing to uphold the Emory Pledge of Excellence.

Tram Vu, PA-C

Tram Vu graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in medical imaging and was class valedictorian. After graduation, she joined the Emory Midtown team as an interventional radiology technologist. She then continued her education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she earned her Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant and is licensed in the state of Georgia. Tram is a member of several professional associations including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. She is very excited to be back in the Division of Interventional Radiology at Emory where she will continue her passion as an advanced practice provider.
